Last term we had lots of fun looking at and learning about the Tudors: the monarchy and life in Tudor Britain; rich and poor. We also designed and constructed our own Tudor houses after research into the different buildings, whilst experiencing the pleasure of Tudor dancing at banquets.
A huge explosion in the kitchen, caused by the ‘Crazy Chef’, helped the children learn about separating different materials in science, whilst children created their own magical worlds and fairies after using ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’ as a writing stimulus, to learn about descriptive settings in imaginary worlds.
To end the term we put on a ‘Year 4 Autumn Term Show’. Parents were invited into school to see a wonderful display of singing, dancing and DT work.
