Year 6

Earlier this term Years 5 and 6 had the opportunity to spend the night at school!  The children were participating in an event known as 'Space Watch'.  After a busy Friday at school, children in Years 5 and 6 were allowed to return to school a little later in the evening to take part in a variety of space-themed activities.  Among the activities provided was a planetarium in the school hall where the children could learn more about the solar system.  Before settling down to bed the children had the opportunity to star gaze and listen to bedtime stories with a mug of hot chocolate.  All (well, mostly all!) children slept well and woke early where they were able to have a breakfast before being collected at nine o'clock the following morning.  Needless to say the children had a fantastic time and learnt a great deal about space too!
